STEP 1
You must first look at the dogs box in relation to
its running style. In the following chart are the points
that will be awarded or deducted based on the dogs running
style or box. The maximum score is +10, while the minimum
score is –10.

Note that inside runners running from the inside receive
positive points along with outside runners running from
the outside. Dogs running from incompatible boxes lose
points.
STEP 2
Now you must assess whether the dogs early speed is
sufficient to reduce any negative points it received
due to being placed in a poor box, or increase the advantage
it has from being in its preferred box

column with the running style points in the middle column.
This will give you the adjusted points in the right
