By now you should have all the necessary information relating to grade, recent form, speed, running style and kennel marked accordingly on your program. In order to successfully handicap a race you must take these individual scores and translate them into final scores.

The easiest way to do this is to compile a score chart that contains boxes for all five categories. Below is an example:

Using a chart like this will enable you to quickly compile all of the information necessary to gain an advantage in the betting stakes.

Note that all of the scores given on the following examples of score charts are just examples. In practice they will obviously appear numerically different.
